RURAL DIETETIC SERVICES
WHAT?
The Rural Dietitian Service aims to improve the access of patients to Dietician services in rural areas. Services provided may also include case conferencing and care planning with GPs to improve health outcomes for patients.
WHERE?
These services are delivered from the following consulting rooms:
- SARINA - Colonial Corner, Shop 4, 73 Broad Street.
- CANNONVALE - 98 Shute Harbour Rd.
- PROSERPINE - C/o Blue Nursing, 10 Faust St.
HOW?
The Australian Government provides funding for these services.
This service is FREE of charge to patients referred by their GP. Due to the success of the program referrals will be prioritised and appointments made according to urgency.
WHEN?
By appointment only.
WHO?
Qualified Dieticians contracted by the Division provide services.
